Berlin-based multi-talent ONiGS returns with Bad Company, a vibrant collision of pop, dance, and funk that reaffirms his fearless commitment to reinvention. Featuring a standout vocal performance from Grammy-nominated singer Mishell Ivon, the single captures everything ONiGS stands for: rhythmic precision, emotional color, forward motion, and an irresistible sense of groove. It is a track built for movement, whether that energy erupts in the living room or explodes on a packed club floor.
On Bad Company, ONiGS makes his intentions unmistakable. Crisp percussion snaps into place, a rubbery bassline walks with swag, and glossy guitars carve out radiant pockets of rhythm. Futuristic synths glide above the beat while Ivon’s voice brings dynamic warmth, giving the track its emotional anchor. The fusion calls back to the golden era of Madonna and Janet Jackson, yet its production sensibility nods to the sleek craft of Daft Punk, resulting in something both nostalgic and defiantly modern.
For ONiGS, the evolution toward this sound is tied to a life shaped by movement. Before his entry into music, he was traveling the world as a fashion model, working with powerhouse designers including Karl Lagerfeld. Those global experiences became his creative compass. With nothing but a laptop and a head full of ideas, he began shaping what would later become his sonic foundation, a blend of sophistication, rhythm, visual identity, and emotional storytelling.

His early project Phases of Life quickly picked up momentum, landing him on stages with artists such as Nina Hagen, The Kooks, and Orishas. The group’s rise included becoming finalists in the Coke Soundwave Competition Tour and performing across Germany’s biggest summer festivals, including Rock am Ring, Melt, Highfield, and Hurricane. But in 2022, ONiGS stepped fully into his own light, releasing music under his solo name. Since then, he has been featured on major playlists like Spotify’s New Funk and Hyundai USA’s official IONIQ 6 playlist, signaling a growing global presence.
ONiGS’ production instincts have also earned him credibility among industry legends. As a VIP member of Timbaland’s Beatclub, he remixed the producer’s hit Keep Going Up featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado. And in 2024, his remake of Rub You The Right Way received recognition from one of his personal heroes, Jimmy Jam, who shared the track on Instagram, a full-circle affirmation of ONiGS’ dedication to quality and craft.
