Through Chaos and Catharsis: Post Death Soundtrack’s Raw Descent into 'IN ALL MY NIGHTMARES I AM ALONE' Album

Calgary’s Stephen Moore operating under the moniker Post Death Soundtrack returns with a staggering, deeply raw 30-track odyssey titled IN ALL MY NIGHTMARES I AM ALONE. This sprawling fifth album is a descent into trauma, truth, and artistic vulnerability, pieced together from a decade-plus of scattered recordings, chaotic revelations, and personal grief.

Moore’s work straddles the line between industrial chaos and intimate confession. From the punishing opener “TREMENS” to the acoustic mourning of “Song for Bonzai,” each track bleeds with intensity. Echoes of Nine Inch Nails, Nick Drake, and Kurt Cobain ripple throughout, but this is no imitation, it’s an unfiltered transmission of the artist's psyche.

The album’s thematic weight addiction, loss, mental healthnever feels performative. Instead, it’s like discovering a box of unsent letters from someone clawing their way through the dark.

Lo-fi acoustic moments like “Reckless Fever” offer breathing space, while twisted covers of Nick Drake’s “River Man” and Velvet Underground’s “Venus in Furs” reframe familiar tunes in harrowing new light. Despite its scale, the record never loses coherence; it’s a journal, a confession booth, a scream.
