“Carriage House,” the latest single from genre-blurring trio The All’s Eye, is a masterclass in soul-jazz chemistry and groove-heavy execution. Through Music Factory Records, the track offers a rich tapestry of analog textures, vintage funk, and deep improvisational interplay, setting the tone for the band’s six-date Pacific Northwest tour.
Tracked live at Connecticut’s iconic Carriage House Studios, the session features guitarist/composer Ari Joshua, drummer Ben Atkind, and keys virtuoso Kris Yunker locking into a groove that feels both timeless and alive. Yunker’s Hammond organ burns with thick, retro soul, while Joshua’s guitar cuts through with phrasing that channels both jazz finesse and psychedelic swagger. Atkind’s drumming glues it all together with tasteful restraint and punch.
“Carriage House” balances tight musicianship with space and warmth sonically sculpted by engineer Mclee Mathais, mixed by Jakael Tristram, and mastered by Joe Lambert. The result is a sound that lives and breathes.
As a studio single, it’s cinematic and earthy. As a calling card for their live show, it’s a promising preview of a band finding magic in the moment.
