Munk Duane Says Goodbye to One Phase of Music with his Final Single “Falsify”

Boston-based recording artist and producer Munk Duane says goodbye to a significant chapter in his musical career with his latest single, and final single under his long-time moniker: Falsify. The song is an unapologetic sonic statement - slick, sultry, and full of emotional intensity.

Falsify is where retro meets future. Duane mashes up some of his 80s-like synth textures and production, not unlike Prince, and juxtaposes those with sharp contemporary production, creating something that's equal parts nostalgic and futuristic. His haunting vocals effortlessly float on the old-school drum machines and analog synths with a visceral representation of disillusionment and betrayal within our state's sociopolitical climate. It's a critically scalding track in smooth velvet grooves, refined but raw.

The song was written, performed, produced by Duane, and mastered by Brian Lucey ( The Black Keys, Mac Miller ) Grammy award winning engineer. As a goodbye to an era of Munk Duane that started in 2020 with Dangerous, Falsify lands like an exhale before creating something new.

With his new venture Circles of Saints brewing, Duane signals the start of something anew. However, Falsify makes certain he leans into this period with a keen artistry, taking audacious, contemplative, and undeniably real ways of being.
