ERICKOSCAR gives “No One Sees It” a human purpose, using songwriting to illuminate struggles that can remain invisible to everyone. Based in Cave Springs, Erick Oscar draws from decades of musical experience to create a song about hidden illness, emotional endurance, and hope when suffering is difficult to explain.
The inspiration behind “No One Sees It” comes from observing people living with conditions such as fibromyalgia, mental illness, PTSD, and other challenges. The song acknowledges an uncomfortable truth: invisible suffering is still real suffering. By giving that experience a musical voice, Erick hopes listeners facing similar battles feel recognized rather than isolated.
His connection to music began in childhood. His father was a singer, and listening sessions filled Erick’s years with ballads and love songs. That foundation stayed with him as he learned acoustic guitar and began writing songs. More than three decades performing with his church worship band have strengthened his belief that music can reach emotional places conversation sometimes cannot.
Erick’s catalogue reflects a life lived across cultures. Born in Panamá and established in the United States for decades, he has also worked in Latin America. His songwriting moves between English and Spanish, drawing from country, pop, ballads, salsa, merengue, bachata, flamenco, vallenato, reggaeton, mariachi, and other traditions. Country holds particular meaning because of its raw, direct emotional character, while his wider influences keep his music open and unpredictable.
With more than 1,200 songs written, Erick has developed a creative archive. His education in music-production software has expanded that process, allowing him to experiment with instrumentation, tempo, vocals, arrangements, and genre. He describes himself as an amateur producer, but the label understates the dedication behind his willingness to learn and shape recordings independently.
“No One Sees It” represents more than another addition to his catalogue. It reflects Erick’s conviction that songwriting should communicate something meaningful.
