Based in Cave Springs, United States, Erick Oscar brings Panamanian roots and an American life into a ten-song Spanish-language album that moves through reggaeton, Latin pop, acoustic guitar, piano, and dembow grooves.
The album grows from an extensive relationship with songwriting. Erick has written more than 1,200 songs and has spent over three decades playing acoustic guitar, including 35 years performing with his church worship band. His father, a singer, introduced him to love songs and ballads in childhood, establishing an emotional connection to music that remains central to his identity. For Erick, the guitar is an instrument; it is a way to process experiences, preserve memories, and translate feelings into something others can understand.
“Dime Que Sí” carries that philosophy into a more dance-oriented setting. The title track, described as a song about a second chance, approaches love through the possibility of renewal. Its romantic foundation comes from his relationship with his wife, turning the song into an intimate expression of affection and devotion.
