Ker Reflects Intimate Connection and Melody on the Single “There Are No Words”

Ker is a North Berwick, Scotland, artist whose songwriting centers on reflection, melody, and emotional clarity. With “There Are No Words,” the second release from his forthcoming album Converging Paths, he turns inward to present a deeply personal composition that functions as a love song without ever using the word itself.


Born in Edinburgh and later working across Birmingham and London in international marketing, Ker’s path into music was not immediate. His creative turning point came in 2014 inside a music store in Kalispell, Montana, where a search for guitar lessons evolved into a sustained commitment to craft. Through collaboration with local musicians and formal study of music theory and piano, he developed the technical grounding necessary to transform poetry into structured song.



“There Are No Words” captures that evolution with restraint. The song frames connection as resonance rather than declaration. Instead of explicit confession, Ker uses the metaphor of “our song” as a shared melody that coalesces without explanation. Influenced by the songwriting traditions of the mid 1960s to mid 1970s, Ker values lyrical substance and structural integrity.
