Seven Factor Unleashes Two Minutes of Hate: A Brutal Reflection on Mass Hysteria

Industrial metal has always thrived on confrontation, and Seven Factor, the project led by multi-platinum producer and engineer Seven Dunbar, continues that legacy with Two Minutes of Hate. The single, from the upcoming Room 101 EP, is a furious exploration of control, hysteria, and the fractured truths of the digital age.

Inspired by George Orwell’s 1984, "Two Minutes of Hate" takes aim at the modern mob mentality, the kind that feeds on outrage, spreads like wildfire online, and reduces individuals to fragments in a collective frenzy. Sonically, the track is relentless: heavy guitars grind against mechanized rhythms, while cinematic layers amplify the suffocating sense of chaos. It’s music built not just to be heard, but to be felt in the chest, a visceral reminder of the power of sound as a weapon.

The official music video visually expands on these themes, pairing the track’s aggression with dystopian imagery that feels disturbingly close to our reality. As with the rest of the Room 101 EP, the single benefits from the contributions of guitarist Tim Skold (KMFDM, Marilyn Manson), whose presence adds another layer of authenticity and edge to Seven Factor’s sound.

Seven Factor has already carved out an international reputation, touring with industrial and metal powerhouses like KMFDM, Mushroomhead, and Psyclon Nine. Onstage, they are known for their cinematic presentation, part concert, part dystopian theatre, which has earned them a devoted following within the heavy music underground.

For Seven Dunbar, this project is more than just another musical outlet. It is the culmination of years spent shaping the sound of others, now channeled into a raw, uncompromising vision of his own. With Two Minutes of Hate, Seven Factor doesn’t just echo Orwell’s warnings; they reframe them for a modern era where truth and hysteria collide daily.
