From deep in the heart of Dallas, singer-songwriter Alexandra has released her standout debut EP, Let It Burn, a five-track collection that captures the essence of a living room jam session with friends and the exhale of lighting up old versions of yourself. The EP was recorded in a house and produced by the duo JST FRNDS, meaning it feels less like a polished studio record and more like an open invitation to a weekend filled with art, just for the joy of it. Alexandra's music pulls a little from the style of Americana and folk-pop storyteller songwriters such as Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks, and then digs into her own updated view on a sound that's equal parts jangly guitars, thumping percussion, and stripped-down vulnerability.
